We provide a full range of remodeling services from something simple like replacing a vanity to complete remodel of your entire bathroom, which typically takes around two weeks or so after we receive all the permits. In a smooth sailing cases it does not take more than a week.
First and foremost, we would need to file for several permits as we will have to deal with plumbing, electrical and removal or restructure of walls. IMPORTANT!!! Permits may take up to 30 days to be granted. Thus, at this moment we are not touching your bathroom so that you can continue to use it till the permits are issued and we are ready to move on to step 2!
Once we have an OK from the city, we would start our work from a demolition. Since it is practically not feasible to remove tiles of the walls, we will knock it off together with drywall. We will gut the walls to be able to replumb and install new proper waterproof and soundproof modern technology material so that you would be able to enjoy your new bathroom for years and years to come!
Next, we will remove the tiles from the floor together with the old mortar or tile glue to ensure we have a smooth surface to be able to install our new floor tiles without any extra unnecessary raise. We build smart because we realize the importance is in detail!
After the demo day, we would get our plumbers and electricians to deal with their part. Once they are done, we will install all the necessary soundproofing and waterproofing and prepare all the surfaces for tiling, painting, etc.
After installing all the tiles, priming and painting all the walls, we will complete the work by installing glass doors, toilet, vanity, mirror, etc. Plumbers and electricians will complete their work as well.
The most important question now is – how much?
Although there are many little aspects that may offset a price, we usually charge around $5,000 for a regular sized 9’x5′ bathroom. This is just for labor! This price does not include materials.
In cases where we discover issues, we would discuss them with the owner and provide a separate quote for its remedy. What possible issues can we find? Usually, especially in the older homes, wood framing may be destroyed by termite or water damage, poor condition of plumbing, DYI electrical work of a previous owner, things that just don’t comply with the building code anymore and may cause issues in the future, and so on.
Larger bathrooms are appraised individually depending on what the owner may want to do with it as large areas offer more room for imagination.
